You do not need a scanner or a special app. Your phone camera and a browser are enough to make a proper PDF from paper documents.

Take better photos first

  • Use daylight or a bright lamp. Avoid shadows from your hand or phone.
  • Lay the page flat on a dark, plain surface.
  • Hold the phone straight above the page, not at an angle.
  • Fill the frame with the page, but keep all four corners visible.
  • Take one photo per page and keep them in order.

Make the PDF

  1. Open JPG to PDF or Scan to PDF in your phone browser.
  2. Tap the upload box and pick your photos from the gallery.
  3. Check the order using the arrow buttons.
  4. Choose A4 page size and press Create PDF.
  5. Download the file. It is saved to your phone and ready to share.

Which tool should I use?

For ordinary photos, JPG to PDF is the simplest. If your pictures are screenshots, use PNG to PDF. Unsure of the format? Image to PDF accepts JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF and BMP together.

If the file is too big

Phone photos are large. If the PDF is over your email or upload limit, run it through Compress PDF with the Strong setting. Pages stay readable and the file usually drops a lot.

Fix sideways or upside-down pages

If a page came out the wrong way, use Rotate PDF and save the corrected file. For pages in the wrong order, use Reorder Pages.

Privacy

The PDF is created on your phone by the browser. Your photos are not uploaded, so IDs, bank letters and certificates stay with you.
