Before you send a PDF, take two minutes to tidy it. These three fixes cover most problems.
1. Remove pages you do not need
Cover sheets, blank pages and drafts do not help anyone. Use Remove Pages, type the numbers like 2, 5-7 and you get a new file without them. The pages are really deleted, not just hidden. For empty back sides of a double-sided scan, Delete Blank Pages finds them automatically.
2. Put pages in the right order
Scanned the pages in the wrong order? Reorder Pages shows the current order. Change the numbers around, for example 3, 1, 2, and the file is rebuilt in that order. If everything is simply backwards, Reverse Pages does it in one click.
3. Fix sideways pages
Scanners and phone apps often save pages sideways. Rotate PDF turns them and saves the fix, so the file looks right for everybody, not just on your screen. You can rotate all pages or only the ones you list.
A good order of work
- Remove the pages you do not want.
- Reorder what is left.
- Rotate pages that are sideways.
- Add numbers with Add Page Numbers, so everyone can refer to page 4 and mean the same thing.
When you need only a few pages
If you want to keep just a handful of pages, it is quicker to use Extract Pages than to delete everything else.
