    About Remove Pages

Remove Pages deletes the pages you do not want and keeps everything else in order. List single pages or ranges, such as 2, 5-7, and the tool rebuilds the PDF without them. The pages are really gone from the new file, not just hidden.

A blank page at the end, a cover sheet you do not need, an appendix you would rather not share. Remove Pages takes them out for good. The pages are actually deleted from the file, not just hidden.

    How to use Remove Pages

    1. Choose your PDF. We show you how many pages it has.
    2. Type the pages you want gone, like 2, 5-7.
    3. Press Remove pages and download the result.

    When to use Remove Pages

    • Take out a cover sheet, fax header or advertisement page before sharing.
    • Delete a page that contains private details such as an address or ID number.
    • Trim a long scan down to the pages that matter.
    • Remove draft pages from a report before you send the final version.

    Tips for better results

    • Check page numbers in your PDF viewer first, since the first page is always number 1.
    • To keep only a few pages, Extract Pages is faster than deleting everything else.
    • Keep your original. The tool saves a new file and never overwrites yours.

    Why use 40PDF for this?

Because the deletion is done locally, sensitive pages never leave your device. That matters when the page you are removing is exactly the one you do not want anyone to see.

    Remove Pages: questions and answers

    Are the pages really gone?

Yes. They are removed from the new file, so nobody can find them later.

    Can I remove every page?

No, at least one page has to stay.

Is there an easier way to keep only some pages?

Yes. Extract Pages lets you list the pages you want to keep instead.

How do I delete pages from a PDF?

Open Remove Pages, add your file, type the page numbers or ranges you want to delete and press Remove pages. Download the new PDF.

Can I delete several pages at once?

Yes. Separate them with commas and use a dash for ranges, for example 1, 4, 8-10.

Does removing pages reduce the file size?

Usually yes, because the content of those pages is not copied into the new file. For a bigger saving, follow up with Compress PDF.
